In a guaranteed “war” between the country’s two largest poker tours, KSOP GGPoker South America has the final say. The event in Rio de Janeiro will pay out at least 50 million reais by early 2024, a record for an event in Latin America.

A total of 100 events will take place between January 4 and February 7, including the highest buy-in event in the country’s history. In the GGPoker Super High Roller, everyone who wants to compete for the title must pay R$100,000.

The historic Super High Roller may feature the world’s greatest ambassador, Canadian Daniel Negreanu. In addition to a prize pool of at least R$3 million, the tournament will have a rake of just 5% and will be led by WSOP General Manager Andy Tillmann, one of the most influential figures in the gaming industry.

GGPoker, the organizer of KSOP, also announced to reduce commissions for other events. For high rollers with buy-ins between R$10,001 and R$25,000, the fee is 10%, while for tournaments with entries between R$5,001 and R$10,000, the commission is 15%.

KSOP GGPoker will also be the tournament with the largest guaranteed prize pool in the country. Prize pools start at R$11 million in the R$5,000 Main Event.
