The end of online series such as the WCOOP and WSOP Online has brought significant changes to PokerStake’s online poker rankings, the market-leading online poker ranking. Felipe Ketzer was aiming for the top spot but dropped from second to seventh. In fact, Argentinian Ramiro Petrone took the lead.

Ketzer is seventh with 10,790 points. Ramiro leads the way with 11,420. The German made an impressive jump from last week to this week, rising from ninth place to the top spot. There’s an explanation for Petrone’s “elevator”: He finished fourth in the WSOP Online Main Event and pocketed an astronomical $1,145,514.

The new runner-up is grinder Roman Hrabec. The player from the Czech Republic achieved a similar result to Petroni, jumping from eighth to second place with 11,357 points, well behind the Argentinian. Niklas Astedt finished third last week and remains in the same position with 11,187 points.

Felipe Ketzer isn’t the only one to break into the top ten at PokerStake. Poker star Pedro Padilha is ninth with 9,646 points. Other important names in the Brazilian poker scene are also close to the top ten: Renan Bruschi (13th – 9,017), Geraldo Cesar (16th – 8,938), Dennys Ramos (17th – 8,801), Allan Mello (19th – 8,938), 8,436) and Felipe Boianovsky (20th – 8,412)).
